SITUATION. For over forty
years there has been violence in the Basque Country. Some say
this in necessary and others say this is never acceptable.
There is a real impasse, primarily in Spain where most Basques
live, and the resolution remains elusive.
CURRENTLY:
The biggest news from the Basque Country is ETA has stated
that the ceasefire of last year is now called off, dealing the
Basque peace process a huge setback. There are many stories on
