The workshops
were held in San Francisco, Boise & Chino, and open to all dance
group instructors & advanced dancers.
The instructor for
the workshops was Joxema Mendiola (pictured left). He was
a long-time dancer in the group Argia (Donostia, Gipuzkoa) and
then the dance director of the group "Arkaitz"
(which performed at Jaialdi in 1995 & 2000).
He prepared material for several dance groups including the
Fandangoa & Arin-arin for
which he had developed two teaching techniques for beginners and
intermediate. It was a pleasure to him here, and the
workshops emerged a success.
