What we have been asked to share with others

Our federation receives various notices and they are posted here in topical order and remain for at least a month.  Inclusion here does not imply that N.A.B.O. approves or vouches for the following, but we wanted to make this information available.

BASQUE SHEEPWAGON FOR SALE.  I have an 1800's style sheep wagon for sale.  The restoration included new box, frame, hardtop, cabinets and wood stove.  The running gear will need some work and the tongue is opposite what it should be.  If you have any interest in what is a very nice wagon all things considered please contact me and I will gladly answer any questions that you may have.   Matthew Cox: liberty.bound@yahoo.com

TOUR POSSIBILITY.  The group Txiribuelta has prepared tour options of the Bidasoa region across three days including mountain hikes, horse-riding, etc.  Check it out at http://txiribuelta.org/EU/egun-pasa

BASQUE PAINTER.  I am writing to you to offer myself as a painter in Basque topics.  These might be places where you have lived, chapels, villages, etc ... Once made the originals, we have made color lithographs of each painting, which you can give as a present to your customers.  Here you can see some of my works: http://www.retratosypaisajes.com/

AU PAIR OFFERS:
-We are a Basque speaking family with two kids ages 3 and 6 months. We live in Biscay, in the town of Lemoiz, 2 miles from the town of Gorliz and 16 miles from Bilbao City.  We are currently looking for an American au pair girl but the ones offering are obviously looking to learn Spanish within their host families. We on the contrary are speaking Basque with our children.  There are several possibilities to be explored to complete the learning process on her stay, according to her interests and profile since the kids are staying at school from 9 am to 4 pm during the week.  We live in an old Basque Home, totally renewed twenty years ago. Last year we renewed the bottom floor and there we have a bathroom and a big bedroom with a studying table, an armchair a TV and internet connection.  Unai Ugarte at

The main purpose of the Retbask Association is to welcome and support returned Basque emigrants, as well as their descendants and relatives. The Association promotes whatever actions are necessary—through different agencies, but especially through the Basque Government and Provincial Councils—for the full recognition of the returned, generating initiatives that envisage the condition of “Returned Basque” or “Returned Basque Descendant”.  To find out more click on asociacionretbask@gmail.com
