We had our first gathering of delegates in Reno, Nevada
back in October 2006. Now attention turns to the the
next step. What can we do to follow up on that first
good get together?
It was a
great gathering in Nevada from the first day on, and it
was appreciated that delegations from Canada & Mexico
joined us. There wasn't much time, but at least we had
a chance to get to know each other. We also found that
we had a lot of things in common. So what should
we do next? Is there a genuine interest in pursuing
this on the part of your club?
What
can we do together?
NABO is having its winter meeting in San
Francisco the weekend of Feb. 16-18. This is in
conjunction with the San Francisco Basque
Cultural Center's 25th anniversary. This Basque
club and facility is one of the best in the
U.S., and the festival is always a good one.
Then we also spoke about the next major event
coming up as Mexico's 100th anniversary. Is
this the time to try and get together again?
We'll see what Mexico says. If they think it is
a good idea, it can be our turn (U.S. & Canada)
to then travel to their event.
Down
the line, what could we do in Canada? What
are your thoughts?
Once
again, thanks to the following for coming to
join us:
