EuskoSare

This new email network, made available to NABO by www.Euskosare.org at no charge, will facilitate communication because you'll only need to type in just one email address (i.e., NABOdelegates@euskosare.org) and approved NABO delegates that  signed up for this group get the email--no more misplacing emails, having to update your address book, etc.  The catch is that everyone now has to take on personal responsibility for keeping their address current if they want to continue to receive information. To subscribe you will be promoted to provide your email, name and city--and that's it--you're in and you'll receive the latest postings.

To subscribe click on:  http://zerrendak.euskosare.org/mailman/listinfo/nabodelegates
This list will be filtered so that only NABO delegates can be included.  This way we will be protected from the "ultra-Basques" if you know what I mean.

ZERGATIK (Why): To map out a NABO strategy for the next 15 years.  The mission of NABO remains the same since our founding over three decades ago--the promotion of Basque culture here in America.  But now it is a generation later, and we need to take another look at what this means and how it can be best accomplished.  This day's forum is an initial attempt to commence what is hopefully a useful dialogue on the ways that we can more effectively accomplish this mission.

The NABO Udazken Biltzarra is fortunate to count with the contributions of Professor Gloria Totoricaguena, Director of the Center for Basque Studies at the University of Nevada, Reno.  An acknowledged expert on the Basque Diaspora, she will be making a presentation to NABO delegates regarding leadership in all-volunteer organizations, effective fund-raising and budgeting in organizations, comparison of Basque organizations to other ethnic groups in the USA, global aspects of ethnic identity maintenance, increasing/improving quality of club memberships and not only quantity, etc.
