Pilota & Pala Updates

 

31.- Los centros vascos se comprometen a priorizar las actividades deportivas desarrollas por los propios jóvenes de sus instituciones. En este sentido, en el periodo 2008-2011 la DRCV priorizará la financiación de formación de monitores jóvenes de los centros vascos y los materiales específicos que se precisen para realizar actividades deportivas en el centro vasco y/o en su representación en torneos organizados en su entorno local.
NABO will prioritize youth sport activities; BG will assist in the formation of leaders

SPORTS

MISSION STATEMENT.  Build up the sports in the children and young adults (7-12, 12-14, 15-18); increase participation in Ikaspilota; increase pilota in areas with nontraditional venues; establish a network for equipment increased exposure to different specialties(ie: cuero, front tennis, joko garbi, xare); increase in number of players under 18 by 10% per year; awareness of Basque Rural sports; perhaps a every two year tournament (besides tug of war)

Unifying women’s pilota

Formalization of a pilota instruction program

Participation in the Under 22 world championships

Increase participation in youth Pilota by 10%

Add one rural sport to the NABO Soka Tira contest, transforming it to Herri Kirolak

Implementation of a formal, unified pilota instructional method in one or two more clubs with traditional venues.
